Professor Richard Head

Adjunct Professor, Sansom Institute Health Research

Professor Richard Head is a pharmacologist with more than 40 years of research experience - nationally and internationally - investigating the aetiology of chronic diseases that affect societies. His achievements include establishing Australia’s most comprehensive collaboration to tackle Alzheimer’s disease and founding the nation’s largest research grouping in early detection of colorectal cancer.

He is currently Adjunct Professor in the Division of Health Sciences, University of South Australia, Affiliate Professor in the Discipline of Pharmacology at the University of Adelaide and is an Honorary CSIRO Fellow.
